Sunday Club Morning
As many of you will know, we have a regular club morning each Sunday from 10.30am. All members are welcome.
Keith Hind very kindly sends a round robin email out each Saturday morning to check who may be going. If you are interested in being added to his email list, please contact him on keith.a.h51@gmail.com.
Ladies Tennis
Our next Ladies Club Night will take place on of the season will take place on Wednesday September 7th from 7pm. All standards welcome.
We have now set up a WhatsApp group for STC ladies - if you would like to join the group, please let Jude know.
Juniors
To mark the end of a fantastic year of junior tennis at the club, an awards ceremony was held on the penultimate Friday of the season. Over the year, the children have been working towards achieving set targets relevant to their age and standard. 55 out of approximately 100 children completed their targets and were presented with a certificate from our Club Chairman Stephen Davies. Special trophies were also awarded to the following players:
Case cup for all round achievement - Jacob Marshall
Most improved player - Harvey Townsend
Sportsman Award - Charlie Martin
Superstar Award - Paige Bott
Joy to Coach - Dylan Andrews
Green Ball Award - Luke Sargood
Orange Ball Award - Ryan Bott
Red Ball Award - Freddie Munson
Well done to all the children for all their effort this year it wonderful to see how much the have all improved.
The Junior Day Camps have been a huge success and are fully booked for the rest of the holidays. However, if you do require further information or wish to be waitlisted, please contact Jude.
Please note the new date for the Junior one day tournament is Sunday 2nd October from noon. Jude will send out full details nearer the time.

Team Managers' round-up of Essex Small Clubs League news
The Men's 2's played four matches during July 2016. Unfortunately, there was only one draw against Elsenham with the remaining matches resulting in losses.
The Ladies 1's played three matches which resulted in a draw against Henham on a very hot Saturday afternoon (and a party in the next door garden!) and two losses. Shot of month must go to Leticia Douglas for her cross court backhand winner in the match against Stansted.
Rain and injury were the common themes for the Mixed 1's this month with only one out of the three matches being played. A big thank you to those players who stepped up and gained some valuable points for the team.
