Game, Set & Match - December 2016

AGM - Friday 3rd February, 7pm
The AGM will be held in the Friends Meeting House in Stebbing and everyone is warmly welcome to come along and find out more about the club. There will be vacancies on the committee from February and anyone wishing to get involved should come to the AGM when new members will be elected.
We hope to deal with all formalities by 8pm and will then go to the pub for a drink. Please do join us.
Turkey Trot - Wednesday 28th December, 11am till approx. 4pm
Fun, mixed, adult doubles tournament to blow away the Christmas cobwebs. Numbers are limited so please contact Erika asap if you’d like to play - 01371 820320 or 07841 904362.
Light refreshments will be provided during the day followed by optional drinks in the Stebbing pub from 4pm onwards.
Court 3 may or may not be available for recreational activities for the younger ones but this will depend on numbers wishing to play tennis. If you wish to bring along young children, please let Erika know in advance.
Whist Drive - £440
Many thanks to everyone who supported our Whist Drive in November - we raised £440 in total which is a great result. A big thank you to Liz Davies for organising the event.
Team Managers' round-up of Essex Small Clubs League news
November is the start of the winter league matches and so far the weather has been good.
The Mens 2 Team have made a good start winning two out the three matches played - well done to all who played!
A great start to the winter league for the Mixed 1 Team with two very good wins and one loss.
The Mixed 2 Team have only played one match due to cancellations, but achieved a win.
The Ladies 1 Team have played two matches to date which resulted in a draw and a lost.
Juniors
Congratulations to Luke Sargood and Alistair Moscuzza who were both victorious in the Junior Tournament in November. Despite the grim weather that day, we had a great turnout - full credit to our juniors for braving the elements. Special thanks too to Josh McDowell and Steve Davies who helped with umpiring in the freezing conditions.
