Thursday Club Night
Now that the long dark evenings are truly upon us, the usual winter charge of £1 per person per club night to cover the cost of lights is applicable. Please put your money in the pot and tick your name off the list on the table in the clubhouse when you arrive.
Whist Drive - LAST CALL!
Please join us! There is no need to have ever played Whist before - all rules will be explained for novices. This is always a very fun evening and you can enter either as an individual or as a pair. A delicious, homemade supper will be provided.
Date: Saturday 26th November at Friends Meeting House, High Street, Stebbing CM6 3SE
Time: From 7pm to 10.30pm approx. Licensed bar opens at 7pm.
Tickets: £15 pp

Team Managers' round-up of Essex Small Clubs League news
The mixed premier team played their last four remaining summer season matches in October and ended up with three losses and a draw. The majority of match results have been very close this season with valuable points gained, even when matches were lost. We are looking forward to the winter league which is now fast approaching.
The Mens 2 team played their last match of the Summer League on 1 October 2016 and narrowly lost to Clavering.
The Fixture Meeting for the Winter matches was held on 17 October 2016. The dates for these matches are being entered on the Events Calendar and team managers will be seeking teams for their matches over the coming months with the matches to be played by the end of April 2017.
Juniors
The Junior Tournament will run this Sunday, November 6th. There has been a very good response so it should be a great afternoon of tennis for our juniors. If you'd like to lend a hand umpiring or just fancy watching how our juniors are getting on, the tournament will start at 1pm.
3 teams have been entered in the junior Halsted and District league - a Green Ball team, Boys U14 and Girls U18 team . This time the season will last a whole year, allowing for a home and away match to be played. Graham Sargood will be managing the Boys U14 team, Natalie Bott the Girls U18 team and Jude Walthew the Green Ball. Regular updates will be on our Facebook and Instagram page.
Junior Club Night will continue to run on Fridays from 7pm weather permitting. We encourage those interested in playing to join our WhatsApp group. Our Junior Captain, Piers, sends out regular messages on Fridays to check who is coming. Please text Piers on 07516671305 to join the group chat.
