Gnome raises £300 for British Heart Foundation

We had a truly wonderful family day at our annual charity mixed doubles event yesterday - The Gnome Tournament.
Despite a wet start to the day, the sun quickly came out and we all enjoyed some great tennis. It was a fantastic turn out with 30 members playing and plenty of children and grandparents supporting the players and enjoying the off-court activities. It was great to welcome lots of new faces this year, some of whom play at other local tennis clubs.
Congratulations to Erika and Nick who were overall champions of the day, beating Fi and Geoff in the final. Erika and Nick won custody of our friendly garden Gnome for the year - the biggest challenge now is where to house the Gnome!
Special thanks go to everyone who supported the day and helping towards the catering. We are delighted to announce that we raised £300 for our chosen charity, the British Heart Foundation.
